Head Units today can copy a CD to internal memory, control a remote CD changer, play MP3/WMA/AAC files from USB flash, compact flash, IPOD and other portable media players. It is important to take all of this into consideration when choosing a head unit, very few receivers offer cassette players today, the CD has taken over there and several manufactures make head units now that do not even play CD's these units require an external media source mainly USB flash/jump drives, SD flash cards and IPODs with no moving parts the units are very reliable having few failures.
